He's recently piled on over a stone for a movie role, admitting he was constantly eating.
But it looks like Zac Efron is going on a diet in a bid to regain his slimmer physique.
The 23-year-old star has been pictured carrying a Z.E.N. (Zero Effort Nutrition) Foods cooler bag as he left a Hollywood studio. Z.E.N. is a diet delivery service that helps stars eat calorie-controlled meals.
Customers receive a package of freshly prepared breakfast, lunch and dinner each day, plus a snack and dessert for a price of $50.45 (£31.55) a day.
The average calories in the meals provided - for male customers - is 1,800 on the weight loss plan and 2,000 on the classic programme.
The company plugs the service on its website, explaining: 'Just open your bag, enjoy delicious clean food and lose weight, with Zero Effort!'
Zac was pictured on Thursday outside a Los Angeles studio where he was recording voice over for a new Dr. Seuss film.
He recently revealed how he piled on 1st4lbs (18lbs) for his role as a U.S. Marine in the Iraq war in the film adaptation of Nicholas Sparks's The Lucky One.
Speaking about his weight gain to E! Online recently, he said: 'I was just eating, eating and eating.'
Zac also shaved off his hair for the role. He wrapped a 10-week filming shoot just before Christmas in New Orleans.

Zac Efron Talks About His Big, Bulging Guns From 'The Lucky One'
Zac Efron's ghost-whispering role in "Charlie St. Cloud" didn't earn him any Golden Globe nominations, but the actor still showed up to support his Hollywood peers at this year's awards. And for us, it was the perfect chance to ask him about his part in the upcoming military film "The Lucky One"—particularly about his, um, guns.
"I knew that, the second I went to camp and met some real Marines, that I didn't have that presence that they possess," Zac told us.
And by presence, of course, he means massive, writhing muscles.
"They have this way about them, and they're like 50 lbs. heavier than these guys," he explained, indicating the lithe and lean crowd of actors milling around behind him. "I started training immediately, to do the best I could."
But while the rocking bod Zac developed in order to play the role was a nice bonus (and we do mean nice—have you seen these production photos?), he tells us that it was respect for his character that drove the transformation.
"Its a part that's kind of sensitive," he explained. "I cared too much about it to just let it slide, so I really put in the work."

There's been plenty of speculation over which of Hollywood's hottest will countdown to midnight in Garry Marshall's ensemble rom-com "New Year's Eve." So let's put on our party hats and bust out the bubbly, because we've got some scoop on one star who'll definitely be watching the ball drop: Mr. Zac Efron. Last we heard, the 23-year-old actor was mulling a part as a bike messenger, so he must have accepted the role, as he told MTV News' Josh Horowitz that the flick would be his next project now that filming on "The Lucky One" has concluded.
"I'm starting a movie in a couple of weeks called 'New Year's Eve,' with Garry Marshall," he confirmed to MTV News. "It's got a great cast."
Indeed, it has. With names like Robert De Niro, Lea Michele, Abigail Breslin, Sarah Jessica Parker, Hilary Swank and Sienna Miller attached, it's giving "Valentine's Day" a run for its star-studded money. But the big question is: Who will Zac share scenes with? Why, none other than Michelle Pfeiffer.
"My scenes are with Michelle Pfeiffer," Zac said with a grin. "Yeah, not a bad co-star." With Michelle reportedly playing a corporate secretary trying to fulfill her resolutions with just a few hours left, we're quite curious to see how Zac factors into that equation. Do we smell some cougar/cub potential? I guess we'll have to wait and see!

Efron has finally confirmed he has joined the star-studded ensemble cast of New Year's Eve, Garry Marshall's follow up to his hit, Valentine's Day. "I can tell you that all my scenes are with Michelle Pfeiffer," he told me at the Golden Globes. "I'm very excited."
So will we see him locking lips with the 53-year-old stunner? "I'm not gonna say," he teased.
Another New Year's Eve star is Lea Michele, who will be making her movie debut in the flick. She told me she's playing a singer and she will be singing a song we're all familiar with. As for her love interest, the Glee star said there will be a kiss. However, she wouldn't say who the lucky guy is.
"If I would've told my teenager self [who], I would've have freaked out," Michele said. "I'm just gonna block it out and pretend like he's not who he is."
